Wanna learn something cool and new and earn PPA credits at the same time? Then make plans now to attend my PPA Super Monday workshop on Monday, May 14, 2012. This time we’ll be focusing on off-camera lighting with flash and continuous light. Off-camera lighting is the way pros will separate themselves from the rest of the pack. Mastering it will bring your photos from snapshot to gorgeous!

Our day will start at the studio with coffee and bagels where we’ll discuss lighting theory, the equipment we’ll be using and picking the right tool for the job. Then we’ll do a location shoot at a nearby converted farmhouse using flash and continuous light both indoors and out. Then we’ll come back to the studio for our brown bag lunch, some Photoshop finishing and some critique.
We’ll learn:

How to properly light both individuals and groups

How to integrate off-camera lighting quickly and seamlessly into your existing workflow

How to control lighting ratios between your subject and background
Things to bring:

Camera

Flash with radio triggers (if you have them). I’ll have a couple of different types of radio triggers and video lights to play with.

Laptop (optional).
