Laura & Peter at the Ballroom at the Ben
Sunday, July 31, 2011 at 12:11PM I am so honored when a couple from out of town allows me to photograph their wedding. Sure, I’m honored whenever anyone trusts me to photograph such a special event but to know that I stood out amongst all the other great photographers in this city to a couple from Pittsburg at the other end of the state, well, that really makes me feel good. With all that riding on the line, I wanted to make Laura and Peter feel extra special and welcome in my city!
Laura and the girls looked so super-cute I just wanted to spend an entire day photographing them!
The Loews Hotel is in what used to be Philadelphia Savings Fund Society building. The vault is still there and made an awesome backdrop for Peter.
Ok, when you can find great natural light, reflections AND no one around to get in your way, you’ve hit the photographic trifecta!
Remember what I said about welcoming people into the great city of Philadelphia? I’ll forgive the Terrible Towels just for a moment!
A city like Philadelphia still has plenty of stately, old hotels with their beautiful, ornate ballrooms. The Ben is no exception.
